June 2026 Trip
From One Student to Thousands.
Corozal Belize Ministries began in 2008 after Phil and Nathan Charlton met a young girl whose education was coming to an end because her family could not afford secondary school tuition. What began as an effort to help one student soon grew as others joined the ministry. Since then, more than 2,000 scholarships have been awarded, over 1,000 students have graduated, and countless projects have strengthened communities throughout the Corozal District.
While the ministry has grown over the years, its purpose remains the same: serving the people of Belize by meeting both physical and spiritual needs. Today CBM continues to provide educational scholarships, improve village schools, construct and repair homes, establish school libraries, assist local churches, and partner with Belizean leaders to invest in their communities.
That mission was on full display during our June 2026 mission trip.
Our June team spent a productive and encouraging week serving alongside our Belizean partners as we continued building on the work God has been doing throughout this ministry.
One of the highlights of the week was completing and stocking two additional elementary school libraries. For many of these students, these books represent opportunities they have never had before, giving them access to stories, knowledge, and resources beyond their classroom curriculum.
The team also partnered with True Belize to construct a prototype house model as part of their ongoing effort to develop affordable housing solutions for families in need. The prototype house was able to be gifted to a widow in need in Caledonia village. At the elementary school in Concepcion village two gravel walkways were installed, providing safer access to classrooms during the rainy season.
Just as important as the projects themselves were the relationships built throughout the week. Team members spent time with students through games, classroom activities, and conversations, encouraging them and strengthening the partnerships that make this ministry possible.
We are deeply grateful for every volunteer who gave up their time to serve, for the Belizean leaders who faithfully worked alongside us, and for the many donors whose generosity made each of these projects possible. Because of your support, lives continue to be changed and we look forward to the opportunities God will provide in the months and years ahead.
