The Dzul Family
The Dzul family lives in Can Chen Village. Jose is a cane cutter. Lourdes is a housewife. Mira, 15, has special needs and attended a school that has taught her to write using her mouth. Mira’s brother, Jose, is 5 years old.
In October, Corozal Belize Ministries contracted with a group of Belizean Mennonites to build the Dzul family a new home. The house is complete and will soon have upgrades to make it wheelchair accessible.
A second home is being built for one of our scholarship students whose family house was destroyed by fire. The family of seven has been living under a tarp for several weeks. They will receive their new house before Christmas 2021.
