Meet Some Of Our Students
Meet the scholarship students attending St. Viator High School. Without scholarships, these children would not be in school. This high school specializes in an agricultural education, and these children are learning to grow crops, raise pigs and chickens, and are learning about aquaculture. They are standing in front of a new building that had to be built to accommodate the scholarship students. The building is named after Francisco Magana, the administrator of the Corozal Christian Scholarship Program, a non-government organization established in Belize to manage Corozal Belize Ministries’ educational efforts.
There are a total of 6 secondary schools in Corozal and Corozal Belize Ministries sends children to all. Cornerstone Presbyterian High School just added wood shop to their list of classes. As you can see, they do not have many tools with which to work but it is a start.
Each year, we work to provide opportunities for the children to give back. These students join us in restoring this little house in San Pedro Village for use by several women wishing to add to their families’ income. Whether it is cleaning, painting, or concrete work, students are always ready to join in.
