Sewing Group

In the Summer of 2024, a group of teens and women came together to participate in some sewing projects. Two sewing machines were available to use.

The teens and women enjoyed sewing (including hand sewing), being creative and just visiting and spending time together.

Five women continue to meet to sew on a regular basis and recently formed their own business to sell their finished projects online. They continue to meet weekly and now have a location to sell their aprons, duffle bags, rugs, stuffed animals and many other creations to tourists and neighbors.

The income they receive helps with their family finances.
